Positive News (PN) is a free, not for profit newspaper published four times a year. We report news from around the world in the areas of sustainability, social equality, education and happiness with a clear message that "another world is possible."
Ilonka and her best friend John discovered the publication in Ireland. In addition to the original UK publication, there are now editions in Hong Kong, Spain, Argentina and Germany. With a lot of excitement, we have undertaken a US edition, beginning in upstate NY. Response has been enormous, we have more than doubled our printing within a year. Currently, we are distributing the paper in cafes, stores, schools and places of business around the northeast. Positive News reaches people in other parts of the US thanks to subscriptions, sponsor a bundle program and a growing number of distribution volunteers.
We at the Positive News US are dedicated to spreading world happiness for all. We believe wholeheartedly that this is possible and we would love for you to help spread the word and try to make it happen!
Turn on the television for the evening news and the message is the same: stories that sadden and scare but fail to directly inspire us. At some point we must ask ourselves, "Isn't there something a bit more positive happening out there?" In fact there is. Throughout the world, a number of individuals have poised themselves to create a new message for everyone to hear: another world is possible, and it's in fact happening right now!
