A vietnam vet during a memorial for all American troops killed in the war.
CRAWFORD, Texas. Throughout most of August, 2005, Cindy Sheehan kept a vigil going outside of President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. Cindy's son, Casey, was killed in the war in Iraq, and President Bush told her that her son died for a noble cause. Sheehan wanted to know what noble cause her son died for, and refused to leave the ranch where President Bush vacationed for five weeks.
Cindy and her supporters packed up "Camp Casey I" and "Camp Casey II" on the last day of August and moved into three buses for a "Bring Them Home Now Bus Tour." For most of September the bus tour will snake its way across the United States promoting peace and an end to the war in Iraq. The buses will converge in Washington, DC for a peace march on September 24. |
