Positive News U.S. Is Now More Than a Newspaper

Positive News is becoming a movement.  It is what people read when they want to find out what ACTION is being taken by everyday citizens when they are confronted with environmental concerns, with issues of peace and war, when they become aware of the need to promote a sustainable society, when justice, both legal and economic, appears threatened, when the spiritual element of our lives is weak, when the efforts of young people need recognition and encouragement and when we can all use a solid dose of hope. In short, Positive News U.S. is a source of inspiration and when people, in increasing numbers, seek inspiration from something that looks like, feels like and seems like a newspaper - -that's a movement.

After three years and 10 issues itís time to take a deep breath, look back and look ahead. In this time the paper has more than doubled its initial circulation, added four pages to each issue, attracted story contributors from dozens of states, expanded its distribution through a nation-wide network of volunteers, attracted readers in many foreign lands, formed partnerships with schools, other publications, radio and TV producers and many individuals and programs concerned, as are we, with the quality of our collective lives.

Positive News is now at a plateau. It is poised to spread its stories of positive action, good will and hope to an even larger audience, an audience which is tired of the steady diet of cynicism, negativism and defeat that comprises the fare of most of the main stream media.
