The World Wisdom Alliance was launched in Canada this July. It is envisaged as a 'mega-network' of like-minded groups, organisations and individuals actively engaged in addressing all the challenges and opportunities facing our society.
Nearly 200 people from all over the world attended the launch. The Founder, David Woolfson, President of the Club of Budapest Canada, hosted the event. He said: "I believe the Alliance has the potential of bringing like-minded people and groups together on a worldwide basis, expanding our existing networks."
The goal of the Alliance is an evolutionary shift toward values and actions embodied in a new global system that can guarantee humanity's long-term viability and sustainability. "At present, we are clearly proceeding on the opposite path. Most of the world is truly unaware of the current crises in the broadest sense and the great challenges ahead for all of us."
Audrey Kitagawa is a member of the World Wisdom Council, which is a founding partner of the new Alliance. She said: "Now is the time to come together, to cooperate and create an alliance that will speak to having heard that voice of in-spiration and give birth to this new future. That voice of inspiration is the voice of our Spirit. Our spirit is connected to the eternal wisdom that we, in our own hearts know inherently, because it is the deepest part of ourselves. When we come together to create this new future, we must always remember that this voice of inspiration, this creativity and this infinite field of possibility, all exists because it comes from a power higher than all of us combined. It is that power which has created everything that is around us and within us — and all the moods of excitement, anticipation and hope for the future."
The first major task is to begin the creation of the World Wisdom Alliance as an online community. "New initiatives and campaigns will automatically spin out of so many like-minded people coming together. It will have a real impact on our collective future," David Woolfson says. "We've only got 5 to 10 years to begin this shift which is the greatest challenge that humanity has collectively ever faced. Much work, of course, is to be done but the World Wisdom Alliance got off to a great start and it was viewed by everyone as a welcome and important initiative for our collective future."
