Dear Friends of Positive News,
For a number of years, we have been told that Positive News has great potential to become much bigger. Yet, none of the suggestions seemed to resonate, until recently... I got it!
Strolling around San Francisco one day, I was struck by a vision for how to really tip the balance between negative and positive news - towards the positive.
You see, over the past year, while generating daily positive news stories for our daily subscriptions, I've noticed a growing number of websites focusing on 'positive' reporting. While on our own, we are just one leaf on a tree of the media-as-we-know-it. However, when joined together in positivity, we can really blossom!
My vision is to create an online platform in which we would pull in all the solution-based, hopeful news from the worldwide web, starting with the existing positive news sites.
Imagine hundreds of stories pouring in every day! Further, the stories would become categorized, enabling one to find out what actions have taken place within the last week - around the world - to, say, empower women and girls.
Another part of the platform would focus on collecting and celebrating all the positive events which happened in our human history. At the moment, no such collection exists.
I am very excited! When I shared the vision with Joanna Macy she said that it would make a 'quantum difference'.
Some of You have already heard these ideas and contributed insights to this heart-storming phase during which we are preparing the ground for the seeds for Positive World. Please share your ideas as well and whether you'd like to co-create this vision with us.
